INDICATIONS / INSTRUCTIONS

INTRODUCTION:

  1. I have prepared this kit so that I can feel comfortable that if an individual has this kit, they should have things that could help them in time of respiratory infection.  Furthermore, for everyone that has this kit, I know I could help them. Without the kit, there’s less I know that I can do to help. Thank you for having this homeopathic kit, and to support you in it, your first call is free.  This is a serious promise, your first call to me for help using anything in here, is free of charge.  Go to my website www.drjonritz.com to schedule time to talk.

  2. Homeopathic medicine, especially during acute infections, can be effective at lessening symptoms and aiding the natural healing process.  I believe one of the best explanations and depictions of homeopathy over the course of history, especially during epidemics is here: https://homeopathy.ca/debates_2013-03-22Q1-2ns.shtml

  3. As I revise these instructions on 23 March 2020, a promising combination of drug therapy for Covid, which is being repeated worldwide, is (approximately) 500mg hydroxychloroquine 2x/day; 500mg azithromycin 1x/day, 220mg Zinc Sulphate.  Vitamin C is also accepted as common supportive therapy. One NYC physician, Vladimir Zelenko, has treated over 350 people with Covid-19 using this protocol with no deaths, no respiratory distress, and no hospitalizations.  He outlines this therapy in a letter to the White House here: (https://t.co/1RDqKygrqP?amp=1), and finishes the letter saying “we know that hydroxychloroquine helps zinc get into the cell.  We know that zinc stops viral replication within the cell.” With regards to azithromycin, he postulates that it prevents secondary infections.  But, I would suppose we will soon have a better explanation of how azithromycin fits into the picture. But consider at least that we need to keep a healthy microbiome to keep our immune systems working in our favor, which is what I believe the doctor is proposing.

    1. Hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine, and other similar drugs) is a synthetic analog of one of the naturally occurring “quinolones” in some plants, the most well-known of which is Peruvian Bark (Cinchona officinalis).  Extracts from this bark are also the basis of what we now also know of as Quinine, the “active ingredient” in Tonic water. Since the 1940’s we have been able to synthesize quinine and other similar “active” chemicals that are similar to those found in nature.  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quinine_total_synthesis)

    2. Chloroquine is homeopathic!  This medicine was the first proven by Dr. Hahnemann, which we have since nicknamed “China.”  You have this remedy in your kit: Cinchona officinalis 200c. When Hahnemann took copious amounts of Cinchona Bark extract for days and days, he developed all the symptoms that would appear he was suffering from malaria, or similar.  He had relapsing fever, pains, sweats… He discovered that he could use the medicine in homeopathic preparations even more effectively than the high (and potentially toxic) doses of extracts. It was proven in practice so effectively and universally that they erected a statue in his likeness in our nation’s capital, on Delaware circle Wasthington, D.C.

    3. Zinc stops viral entry, and viral replication within the cell, of many types of viruses including SARS-COV2.

Note about the additional supplements: There is enough in this emergency kit to get someone through a day or two with some of the ingredients, and a whole long time with some others.  I had to make my best decisions of what I could offer that is evidence-based, and high-yield. Also, there are some highly suggested nutritional and herbal supplements that might be just what you need, that isn't in this kit.

  1. For example: other than Camphor, there are terpene-rich evidenced-based anti-Cov oils: Magnolia and Pine especially.

  2. Monolaurin from Coconut Oil is an antiviral that breaks apart the viral membrane.  It works directly in the gut, and when it's been absorbed and incorporated into the tissues.

  3. Green Tea should prevent viral entry.  Black Tea as well (but Green Tea has way more EGCG)

  4. Lactoferrin from colostrum helps protect our blood and hemoglobin, and balances the immune system.

  1. You should not expect to “need” every homeopathic remedy in this kit.  I chose the most likely remedies folks will need based on my personal experience treating myself, my wife, and over a dozen patients with suspected Covid19.  I also considered the recommendations of the most respected homeopathic institutions worldwide in my prescriptions and in formulating this kit.

HOW TO PREPARE A HOMEOPATHIC REMEDY AND DELIVER THE DOSE

  1. With these methods you can potentially never run out of any of the remedies in this kit, and make them more effective while also less likely to cause any aggravation to those that are very sensitive.

  2. Prepare a clean container with water.   If you have a jar with a lid, or a bottle, or a clean container that you can later shake vigorously, that is preferred.  But, you can use an open container like a cup. In either case it would be preferred that you use a glass or ceramic container.

  3. Open the ziplock bag containing the one remedy you want to prepare, and without touching the pellets, tap about 5 pellets into the water.

  4. Mix the pellets into the water completely.

    1. If you have an open container, stir the water at least ten times.  Cover the cup with a saucer or something that’ll act as a lid.

    2. If you have a closable container, close it tightly and shake it, tapping it against your palm or on a surface.  This is called “hand succussion.” The old-time homeopaths would hold the container in their hand and pound it down on a book.  In fact, the homeopathic remedies in this kit have been hand-succussed.

  5. Homeopathic remedies can be suspended within a water-based mixture with each repeated dilution so long as, in the terms physicists use, “you completely homogenize the mixture.”  Since 2016 more than a dozen university-level research facilities have repeated the experiment where they use this method to prepare a homeopathic remedy, and can see nano-sized crystalline structures that “reflect” the original substance, and the structures can be found in repeated serial dilutions.

  6. This water-based remedy will maintain its “potency” for about a week, so long as you store it away from strong electromagnetic fields, and in the dark, and covered.

  7. If you take this one more step, it’ll last indefinitely.

    1. PRESERVE IT IN ALCOHOL: Take one part of the water mixture, a spoonful or even a few drops, and add it to Vodka, or a similar alcohol.  I would prefer that you use an alcohol that doesn’t give you hangovers, one that your system prefers.

    2. “Hand succuss” / mix well.

    3. You can dispense a drop or two of this at a time, and it will remain potent if you keep it in a dark place or use amber / blue / green glass.

    4. Label this container with the REMEDY and the POTENCY (30c, 200c, or 1M in this kit) and “+1”

    5. HOW IT LASTS FOREVER: Every time this container is nearly empty, you can refill it with alcohol, “hand succuss,” and add +1 to the label.

HOW TO ADMINISTER A DOSE OF A HOMEOPATHIC REMEDY

  1. Try to avoid anything but water before and after each dose.  Best would be at least 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the dose.  But never use this guideline as a rule as a reason not to give the remedy.

  2. Dispense a small amount either directly in the mouth using a clean spoon, or by pouring-out a few drops, or with a clean dropper.

  3. You can also basically ignore the first 30-minute “avoid anything” guideline and add a few drops to someone’s drink (tea, water, juice, soup) so long as you completely mix it in.

  4. Wait, watch, observe.

HOW TO DECIDE WHEN TO GIVE ANOTHER DOSE OR CHANGE THE REMEDY

  1. The best move would be to contact an accomplished homeopathic prescriber.

  2. In lieu of that, you can find indications for remedies at www.abchomeopathy.com, and many other sources called Homeopathic Materia Medica.  The FDA has approved the indications on the labels of each of your homeopathic remedies.

  3. The principle and practice of homeopathy bears out in its name.  Homeo = similar, Pathos = disease origin.

  4. We are looking to apply a homeopathic remedy using the principle that: in higher doses this substance would cause toxic symptoms that closely mimic the symptoms that the patient is experiencing.  The more similar the remedy is to the patient, in the totality of symptoms throughout all systems of the body, the more likely it will stimulate a healing reaction and correction to balance.

  5. If you have chosen a remedy based on this principle, then give it some time to work before you give in and change the remedy.  In an acute situation when every second feels like eternity, don’t wait nearly as long as in a chronic case.

  6. If the remedy is homeopathic you should see a change quickly when symptoms are very acute.  If after you’ve given three doses of the remedy, you’ve waited as long as you feel appropriate, and the person is exactly the same with no change, then consider the remedy was not homeopathic to the patient at this time, and consider another remedy.  This happens to the best of us.

  7. I have personally lost count of the number of times that I have thought I had a remedy that was homeopathic, given it to the patient, and watch nothing happen only to then give a different remedy and both the patient and myself are amazed by the swiftness and profoundness of the improvement they experience.

  8. Homeopathy is not wishful thinking.  If the remedy is working you and the patient will know it.  You can repeat the dose if their symptoms level-off, if they tell you or if you notice that they’ve plateaued, or on a schedule of a few times per day, depending on severity of symptoms.

  9. Suppressive over the counter medicines can blunt the response to a well-chosen homeopathic remedy.

  10. Stimulants and strong perfumes like coffee (we have seen this happen while we can’t explain why) and chemical perfumes (most of these are “neurotoxic” and many are hormone disrupters) and very rarely strong oils like peppermint MIGHT interfere with a reaction to a well-chosen homeopathic remedy.

  11. Some infections like Influenza or Coronavirus, which can cause pneumonia, have a “progression” of illness.  Depending what stage a person is at with an illness, we might change the remedy, but we might not. We are most likely to stay with one remedy so long as the individual is progressing past symptoms and moving quickly to convalescence.  We change the remedy if there is a worsening of symptoms, not improvement.

HOW TO USE POWDERS AND SUPPLEMENTS:

  1. CAMPHOR: although this is technically 100% pure “edible” camphor, it is suggested you only inhale the vapors.  Camphor is extracted by steaming camphor wood.

    1. Direct inhalation: Hold the bag, open, in your hands.  The warmth of your hands is enough to release the volatile oils from the Camphor crystals.  Sniff directly from the bag.

    2. Steam Inhalation: Break / Crumble / Cut a very, very small amount of the camphor crystal and place in steaming water.  Cover the head and the steaming water to contain the steam and get it to the face and lungs. Afterward, breathe through the camphor-steamed towel.

    3. Topical: warm up some olive oil, coconut oil, or other suitable oil for the skin.  Melt a very small amount (less than 5% of the total volume) of camphor crystal into the oil.  Apply a small amount of the camphor-infused oil to the body: below the nose, on the chest, on the soles of the feet.  Don’t overdo it. Just use enough to bring some relief.

    4. Warning: Children have overdosed on camphor blocks, and have overdosed by over-application of Vicks VapoRub, which is 5% camphor.

  2. GLUTATHIONE: for inhalation or suppository.  (yes, if you’re not too proud, suppository is the next best to IV).  Glutathione is relatively useless when taken orally. When applied to the respiratory tract it will diffuse like a salt.  Glutathione deficiency is a hallmark of respiratory distress. Steroid inhalers, also used as rescue inhalers for respiratory distress, are to be avoided in viral pneumonia and bronchitis.  Glutathione provides a safe alternative.

    1. A light snort: open the bag and with the nose about 2-3” away, puff the bag a little and breathe in deeply.  Glutathione is like a gentle salt and will immediately dissolve when it hits moist sinus passages.

    2. Diffused: Dissolve 1/4tsp in 4oz water and use in a diffuser.  Inhale the vapor directly and deeply.

    3. Suppository: mix ¼ teaspoon into one teaspoon of melted coconut oil to make two suppositories. Your kit should have about enough to make 8-10 suppositories this way.

      1. You can create your own molds or buy them, or

      2. allow the oil to begin to cool, and when it’s nearly solid just form the suppositories into little bullet-shaped pieces that are about ½ teaspoonful each in total mass.  .

      3. Use the suppository as needed.  Results should be felt fairly quickly, within a few minutes.  They’ll be subtle, but there should be some relief. If needed repeat another suppository, up to 4 every 4 hours.

      4. Lay down after you insert the suppository do you don’t have an urge to poop.  You want it to dissolve and diffuse into the bloodstream.

      5. If you don’t push it far enough, you might feel irritation (glutathione is a salt, technically).  It won’t harm you, but it’ll irritate you. You should insert the suppository by bearing-down slightly to relax the anus, and gently moving the suppository about 2” upward.

  3. LICORICE ROOT 10g

    1. This can be ingested in its entirety, but is probably best used in a tea and drank that way.

    2. Acute: About ¼ teaspoon up to 6 times per day.

    3. Specifically antiviral against SARS-COV2, it also supports the systems this virus attacks.

  4. CINCHONA BARK MIX with citric acid and spices (star anise allspice, clove) 20g

    1. The natural source for Quinine and the basis for hydroxychloroquine.

    2. Extract by making a stew: 1 teaspoon in 24 ounces of water, and a whole (cut up) citrus fruit.  You can use orange, grapefruit, lemon, all all the above. Eat one slice of the fruit raw, peel and all.  Cook the rest together with water and powder simmering on a very low boil, covered, for about 30 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it steep for another 6-8 hours.  Strain and drink ¼ of the mix, diluted in a tall drink. Drink this mix up to 4x/day. Eat the cooked citrus, peel and all. It is okay to drink the powder, it won’t harm you.

    3. You can add some Licorice powder to this recipe if you want.

    4. To make a stronger extract, add one ounce of alcohol to the tea after you’ve finished boiling it.  Not so much alcohol that will impair your immune system, but a little but to make a stronger extraction.

    5. One teaspoon of Cinchona Bark Mix contains about 4.5grams of Cinchona Bark

      1. “it has been revealed that an average commercial yield of the cinchona alkaloids from the dry bark materials plant are as follows: quinine (5.7%); quinidine (0.1-0.3%);cinchonine and cinchonidine (0.2-0.4%)[4].”(SOURCE: https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/b853/ee715aee833b4357b595e3f93a6c29489093.pdf)

      2. Your “tea” made from one level teaspoon of mix will yield, at most,  250mg of quinolone alkaloids. Drink it in divided doses.

  5. SELENIUM YEAST 2000ppm; Hundreds of doses in your kit. 5g

    1. One 200mcg dose is about as large as this * asterix.

    2. I’m not suggesting you do this but, If you wet your finger and the yeast stuck to the end of it, that’d be about a dose.

    3. This is Selenium yeast, 2000 parts per million of Selenomethionine in Saccharomyces boulardii.

    4. In preventive situations, average one dose of Selenium yeast per day, 200mcg.

    5. In acute situations, ten doses per day equivalent is safe, 2mg.

    6. You might want to “cut” your selenium yeast into something else so that it is easier to divide.

    7. Selenium helps to increase our antioxidant levels, including glutathione levels.

  6. VITAMIN C

    1. 2000mg/tsp with 15mg Zinc, 10mg Magnesium, 5mg Potassium, and 2mg Manganese

    2. Mix 1/4tsp or less at a time stirred into a beverage (water or watered-down juice) and drink immediately.

    3. Preventive, average dose 500mg / day

    4. Acute: average 250-500mg every hour or two until “bowel tolerance.”

      1. Taking more than your body can consume at once can lead to loose stools.  Otherwise it will not cause harm. (Loose stools are NOT necessarily the worst thing when the body is trying to eliminate toxins, but it could be a slight “waste” of Vitamin C, and overly loose stools could dehydrate you.)

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU’RE ACUTELY ILL:

At the beginning, during, or at any point along the way, especially if you’re trying to lay down and rest, DO THE WARMING SOCKS THERAPY.  Detailed instructions linked here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YUCVGUjgDrYr8KVQyt_VJezUOIRbM0GU11tUVW4PXpQ/edit?usp=sharing

ABBREVIATED WET SOCKS THERAPY:

  • Warm your feet first.  This is very important as the treatment will not be as effective and could be harmful if your feet are not warmed first.  Warming can be accomplished by soaking your feet in warm water for at least 5-10 minutes or taking a warm bath. You can add ginger to the warm bath to increase the heating response.  Warmer is better. If you take a bath, be careful to keep your hair dry.

  • Take a pair of cotton socks and wet them with ice water.  Be sure to wring the socks out thoroughly so they do not drip.  You can plan ahead and put them in the freezer while you prepare the bath.  Or, keep them in ice water until you’re ready, and wring them out before putting them on.  Either way, you want ice-cold, damp cotton socks.

  • Dry off your feet and body with a dry towel.  Stay in a warm room and avoid getting chilled.

  • Put on the socks:  First: cold cotton socks on feet.  Then, dry wool socks on top.

  • Go directly to bed, wearing warm pajamas and covering with an extra blanket.  Avoid getting chilled.

  • Keep the socks on overnight.  You should find that the wet cotton socks will be dry in the morning.  If you wake up in the middle of the night and they’re dry, you can take them off.

  • If you break a sweat, good!  But you don’t want to start shivering.  So, if you wake up damp or drenched in sweat, change out any wet undergarments with dry cotton ones so you can fall asleep again comfortably.  You may repeat the procedure again, even in the middle of the night.

  • It is actually best to keep the bedroom cool, with a window cracked open while you sleep. Outdoor air is almost always fresher than indoor air.  But, it is not recommended that it blow on on your face.

HOW TO EAT DURING A FEVER, OR WHEN ACUTELY ILL

  • Drink warm bone broths, teas, and Vitamin-C fortified/watered-down drinks.

  • Don’t overeat.  Eat only well-cooked porridge and soupy foods.  If you’ve lost your appetite, it’s perfectly okay to not eat anything.  In fact your body will have an easier time mounting a good fever and immune response if not burdened with the process of digestion.  (Up to a third of our blood can be used just to digest; blood that we need to fight the infection.)

  • Pickles of various kinds, sauerkraut and the like are easy on the system and probiotic.

  • Sprouts are a good choice.  Sprouting your own is very easy, and highly encouraged.

  • It’s been said before but demands repeating: avoid stimulants like coffee (but tea is okay), avoid sugar and alcohol, avoid junk foods.

ON THAT NOTE, STAY HEALTHY, STAY HAPPY, and GET TO BED BEFORE 10PM!
